Pure Country

I had the most amazing opportunity to photograph the most charming and adorable little girl ever! Ms. True Marie was quite a sight in her big picture hat and delightful bare feet. Her giggle reminded you of how fairies would sound and her eyes literally sparkled (even when she wasn't smiling). Some children have an inner spark, and that my readers was True.

I tried a different post processing technique to give the images a bit of an oil painting feel. I would love to hear what you think of it.

The lyrics to this song kept re-playing in my mind, it just seemed to fit...

Thank you for letting me enjoy your company True and your very happy disposition. It was such a treat to be around pure joy!

There is something about this image that I just love. Maybe it's the wispy hair, the hat, the dress, the feet, the stance, the background...ahh, heck, I just like it!

Childhood is so fleeting, and this for me somehow captured a tiny bit of innocence...

This is my 'out of the box' image. I try to catch something a bit unexpected with every session. Like in my last session, the couple with the balloones and the man on the bike. A little different is refreshing to me. While 'different' might not be everyone's cup of tea, I enjoyed the different angle of the next image. It has a 'moody' feel and fun composition to me.

I can literally hear her laughing here...

Shawn & Mindy - Argyle Park, Engagement Session

Hmmm...the first Christmas song of the season, rain tapping on the windows, church bells ringing...all wonderful sounds. Add another to the list. Mindy's laughter. No joke. It's unmistakable. Like it comes from her toes or something : ) It makes you laugh just hearing it. It magnificent! She's fiesty, fun and fabulous -- and GORGEOUS to boot. How do people get so blessed?

Shawn is her other half. Charming, funny and sweet - yes, Mindy found herself a good egg indeed! He adores her as she does him.


I had the fantastic pleasure to spend an evening with these two love birds. They were the kinda couple that spoke highly of one another, adored each other and flat out belly laughed together. It was awesome.

That image up on top is a little different, but I liked it and it's my blog! lol To me it represented Mindy and Shawn in a nut shell. Just the two of them, enjoying each other in their own little world.

To get to know my clients better I have them fill out a quick questionaire. One of the questions I ask them is to describe your better half in three words. Mindy said Shawn was "stable, safe and INCREDIBLE". Shawn said of Mindy, "beautiful, exciting, HOME".  I couldn't agree more. They were everything 'home' means. Comfort, safety, warmth, love and laughter. Home is where the heart is. Which apparently is where ever they are.

There certainly is...no place like home.

They seriously are this sexy.

I don't think there was a minute when they weren't smiling. Mindy said it best to her man.

"You're so funny, you make my cheeks hurt."

They are happy. Which makes me very happy.

Lighthearted, playful, fun and whimiscal...yep...they're that too.

Best Friends...

They're glowing, right?

I wonder what the world would be like with more couples like them?

Thank you for letting me enjoy a moment in your company. I had a great time seeing how natural and effortless some love can be. The genuine smiles and laughter made my heart pitter patter! Looking forward to the BIG day!
